Put out by DC under the name Amalgam Comics in 1997 as part of the Amalgam (Marvel/DC) crossover event, Generation Hex is an amalgam of the Marvel team Generation X and DC's western comics line. Generation Hex has only one issue, with the plot of Generation Hex #2 only being hinted at.

In order to save two universes, the young hero known as Access was forced to use the power of Amalgam (see Marvel versus DC (1996) #3). In this issue, the Last Son of Krypton, Superman, and the Sentinel of Liberty, Captain America, are merged to create the greatest hero the world has ever seen, Super Soldier!
